Synopsis Edit

Seagoon has deserted from World War I and been in hiding ever since with the aid of Grytpype and Moriarty, who have neglected to tell him that World War I is long since over. When an attempt to send Minnie Bannister into space goes awry, Seagoon inadvertently becomes the replacement.

Background Edit

Sputnik, the first man-made satellite to orbit the Earth, was launched on October 4, 1957, putting the space race in the forefront of the entire world's consciousness. Laika the dog was launched on Sputnik 2 on November 3, the day this episode was recorded.
